"SPACE-F Batch 7 Roadshow Bangkok", Positioning Thailand as a Global FoodTech Hub and Opening Cohort 7 Applications

The National Innovation Agency (Public Organization), or NIA, under the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation, has partnered with leading organizations including Thai Union, Mahidol University, ThaiBev, and Nestlé to host “SPACE-F Batch 7 Roadshow Bangkok: The Launchpad of Food Innovation”. This event aims to promote applications for the 7th cohort of SPACE-F, Thailand’s first global FoodTech incubator and accelerator program. The roadshow took place on January 19, 2026, at the House of Wisdom (HOW), Level 12, SO/ Bangkok Hotel.

Dr. Krithpaka Boonfueng, Executive Director of NIA, presided over the opening ceremony to introduce SPACE-F’s mission in driving food innovation. She was joined by Dr. Chris Aurand from Thai Union Group, who welcomed attendees and provided a program overview. The event was attended by executives from partner networks, investors, and numerous startups.

Dr. Krithpaka emphasized that Bangkok is evolving from the "Kitchen of the World" into a global "Launchpad" driven by food technology and innovation. NIA is committed to empowering startups through its 4G strategy (Groom, Grant, Growth, Global) to create a global competitive advantage. Over the past six years, SPACE-F has proven its success as an international platform, supporting over 100 startups from 18 countries and connecting them with partner networks and investors. The program is ready to welcome startups from around the world to test ideas and collaborate with Thailand's industrial sector to sustainably transform the food industry and scale together globally.

Key Highlights of the Event Included:

  • Keynote Presentation: "From Thailand to the World: How FoodTech Startups Raise Capital and Scale Globally" presented by Narusan Dhanvarjor from InnoSpace (Thailand) and Robert Lomnitz from Xpdite Capital Partners, who shared strategies for fundraising and international expansion.
  • Panel Discussion: "Bangkok as a Launchpad," providing in-depth insights into Bangkok's potential as a strategic hub for startups, featuring experts Dr. Chris Aurand from Thai Union and Dr. Lalana Thiranusornkij.
  • SPACE-F Alumni Talk: Success stories and experiences shared by alumni, including Dr. Kitiya Vongkamjan from UniFahs and Mahima Rajangam from Yindii.
  • Application Briefing: A detailed session on Batch 7 application requirements led by the Techsauce and Innovate 360 teams.

This year, the program focuses on 7 Key Sectors: Personalized & Preventive Health Nutrition; Next-Gen Protein & Regenerative Ingredients; Circular Food Systems & Upcycling; Smart Food Manufacturing & Automation; Sustainable & Resilient Food Production; Food Safety, Traceability & Shelf-Life Tech; and Connected Consumer Experience & Smart Food Services.
